We do recognise that effective recruitment requires employing all the fundamentals of the Equality Act 2010.
We employ a robust recuitment procedure ensuring that all pre-employment checks are carried out in order to safeguard the welfare of the people we support.
New employees are inducted to Colin Limited within 13 weeks of employment. We manage and train our employees with the aim that all of our support workers achieve HSC NVQ level 2 or higher. All employees recieve service specific training like Epilepsy training. Further mandatory training like Food Hygiene, Medication Training, First Aid and Manual Handling. Health and Safety, Fire awareness and procedures, Safeguarding Adults and Protection from abuse are provided and reviewed annually or as need arises.
We manage and train our employees with the aim that all of carers achieve QCF Diploma L2 level 2. All other employees recieve the training appropriate to their work. All employees recieve annual training in health and safety matters such as moving and handling, fire awareness and action, health and safety and a range of other areas.
